Why AgentReady?

More people are using AI powered search and AI tools to research and compare businesses. If your information is unclear, inconsistent or out of date across the web, your business can be misunderstood or overlooked. This can mean missed enquiries, lost customers and lost income.

Your business is already being read. The question is whether it is being understood correctly.

Before someone contacts you, they may read your website, check your Google Business Profile, compare reviews or ask an AI tool for help.

All of those systems depend on clear, accurate and consistent public information. If your services, opening hours, location, policies or contact details do not agree, customers can lose confidence and digital systems can misunderstand what you offer.

AgentReady UK provides an independent, human-reviewed check of that complete picture.

What AgentReady is

A practical evidence check, not another AI promise.

An AgentReady Business Review examines how your business appears to a careful customer, a search engine and an AI-assisted search tool.

We use 30 fixed checks across six categories. A point is awarded only when we can find clear evidence. If something cannot be verified, it is marked “Not Evidenced” rather than guessed.

The result is a plain-English PDF showing:

  • Your AgentReady Score out of 30
  • Six category scores out of five
  • The evidence behind the findings
  • The five changes to prioritise first
  • A practical safe-AI-use checklist
  • Clear next steps
  • Email follow-up included

Why this matters now

The way people find and judge businesses is changing.

Figure 01

AI summaries are already part of everyday search.

Read AI-generated search summaries at least sometimes

75%

Read them often or always

Scope: UK online adults, Ofcom research published 2026.

This does not mean AI has replaced traditional search. It means business information is increasingly being summarised before a potential customer reaches the original website. Clear and accurate source information therefore matters.

Figure 02

AI use by UK businesses has grown quickly.

Scope: businesses with 10 or more employees reporting the use of at least one AI technology.

PeriodBusinesses using at least one AI technology
Late 2023approximately 12%
June 2026approximately 35%

Adoption has risen, but using AI and managing it safely are not the same thing. Businesses still need clear rules about approved tools, confidential information, accuracy checks and human approval.

Statistics provide context, not a promise of results. AgentReady does not claim that completing a review will guarantee rankings, recommendations or additional revenue.

The consistency problem

One business can tell five different stories without realising it.

Starts here

Your business

One set of facts, as you understand them today.

Travels through five public sources

  1. 1.Website
  2. 2.Google Business Profile
  3. 3.Social profiles
  4. 4.Directories or regulatory profiles
  5. 5.Reviews and public mentions

Arrives with

  • Customers
  • Search engines
  • AI-assisted search tools

Whatever conflicts along the way arrives too.

A practical example

Website opening hours
07:30–18:00
Google opening hours
08:00–17:30
Facebook opening hours
not updated

Each individual difference can look minor. Together, they can create doubt about which information is reliable.

After AgentReady

  • One confirmed set of details
  • Clear service descriptions
  • Easy-to-find trust evidence
  • A clear next action
  • Written rules for safe AI use

What official sources say

This is based on how the systems actually work.

Google

Complete and accurate information matters.

Google states that businesses with complete and accurate information are more likely to appear in relevant local search results. AgentReady checks whether core public details are complete and consistent, while making no ranking promise.

Structured information

Machines need explicit clues.

Google explains that structured data provides explicit clues about the meaning of a page. AgentReady checks whether important public business information is clearly presented and whether useful structured information is present where appropriate.

AI search access

A website can unintentionally block AI search.

OpenAI states that OAI-SearchBot is used to surface websites in ChatGPT search. A site that opts out will not appear in ChatGPT search answers, although it may still appear as a navigational link. AgentReady checks whether public pages are unintentionally blocked. We do not promise inclusion or recommendation.

Safe AI use

Personal information still needs protecting.

The ICO explains that data-protection law applies when AI systems process personal data. AgentReady checks whether businesses have practical boundaries, approved tools, human review and clear responsibility for AI-assisted work.

Who needs this service?

AgentReady is useful when…

  • Your website has grown over time and no one has reviewed it as a complete customer journey.
  • Your information appears across several websites or directories.
  • Customers regularly ask questions that should already be answered online.
  • You use AI for emails, marketing, administration or research without written guidance.
  • Different staff members manage different profiles.
  • You are unsure how search engines or AI-assisted tools understand your business.
  • You want an independent second opinion before paying for a larger website, SEO or AI project.
  • Trust, safeguarding, professional standards or confidential information are especially important in your sector.

Using no AI does not automatically produce a poor AgentReady score. We assess whether any use is understood, proportionate and controlled.

Scope

Clear scope. No inflated promises.

What it can do

  • Identify information gaps and inconsistencies
  • Record evidence against 30 fixed controls
  • Explain weaknesses in plain English
  • Prioritise the five most useful improvements
  • Highlight unsafe or unclear AI practices
  • Give you a practical baseline for future improvements

What it cannot promise

  • A particular Google position
  • A recommendation from ChatGPT or another AI tool
  • Increased sales or revenue
  • Legal, accounting or safeguarding advice
  • That every third-party platform will immediately update
  • That every recommendation will suit every budget or circumstance

“We don’t promise rankings. We help make your business clearer, more consistent and easier to understand.”
